Limitless Pet & Home Care is hiring dog walkers in Hintonburg, Centretown, and the Glebe. We’re looking for people who show up on time, read dogs well, and care about the animal at the end of the leash.
Who we are
We’re Ottawa’s first Black woman-owned premium in-home pet care service. Our clients trust us with their keys, their homes, and their dogs, and we’ve kept that trust by staying small on purpose. We’d rather care deeply for a full roster than stretch thin across a longer one. Now we have room to grow, and we need walkers who work the same way.
What we’re looking for
You know how to walk a dog so the dog enjoys it, whether that’s a nervous rescue, a high-energy adolescent, or a senior who takes the stairs one at a time. You’re reliable, you notice details, and you communicate with clients before, during, and after every visit. You live in or near Hintonburg, Centretown, or the Glebe, or you’re willing to travel to those neighbourhoods on a regular schedule.
We hire for judgment as much as experience. You’ll need a few years of hands-on time with dogs, respect for the animals and for the people who trust you with them, and the confidence to speak up when something looks off: a dog favouring one paw, a gate left open, a set of instructions that doesn’t quite add up.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s licence, or reliable transit access to your assigned neighbourhood
- Ability to pass a background check
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Available to start within about a month of hiring, as we build up walk routes
What we offer
You’ll get training on our process and your assigned routes, and access to our booking system so you can see your schedule in advance. We give honest feedback, clear communication, and backup if something goes wrong on a visit. We treat our Pet Care Pros with the same respect we ask them to show our clients.
Probably not the right fit if
You need work only in neighbourhoods outside our current zones, or you’re looking for very occasional side gigs. We’re building long-term relationships with pets and families, and we want walkers who plan to stick around.
If that sounds like you, apply here. Tell us which neighbourhood you’re in and the kinds of dogs you’ve worked with.
